NC Museum of Natural Sciences: Rachel Carson Wildlife Garden
Raleigh, NC
In downtown Raleigh, a sculpture garden was created for the museum's front entrance. The design features native plantings and limestone rocks, creating a setting for the sculpture. An extension of this project was assisting in the design of native plantings along the street, depicting the diverse ecological zones of the coastal plain, piedmont, and mountain habitats, implemented and maintained by landscape designer Kathy Buck and botanist Ken Moore.
